Publishing scholarship in Communication Studies on race can be challenging given the whiteness of the field. This can be even more challenging for scholars of color studying race, particularly given the whiteness of editorial boards and editors. Recent discussions of #communicationsowhite have started to address these issues; however, more work remains. This panel brings together key scholars to name specific challenges and offer strategies in the process of publication to work against systems of power that keep #communicationsowhite.
