Abstract

In this session, we will describe critical elements for implementing each strategy with fidelity, explain how each strategy can be used to improve student behavior and build positive relationships with students, and provide opportunities for guided planning. Specifically, we will cover: routines, positive greetings, behavioral momentum, choice, OTRs, and praise.

Learner Outcomes

- Identify strategies that prevent problem behavior, teach prosocial behavior, and reinforce students' positive behaviors
- Describe critical elements for implementing each strategy with fidelity
- Explain how each strategy can be used to improve student behavior and build positive relationships with students
- Plan for systematically pairing strategies to both improve behavior and build positive relationships with students
