Description

What food products are Real? Which vendors are verified as fair, ecological, and/or humane? Now, institutions can find out through the Real Food Database! Compiled from years of research done by students at colleges and universities all over the country, the database lists the products and companies that institutions can shift towards to build a just and sustainable campus food system. Real Food Calculator researchers can also access this database to learn what products have already been identified as Real or not Real, streamlining the tracking and reporting process of an (oftentimes) complicated and opaque food system. Institutions using STARS may also use the Real Food Database in their Food & Dining section. Attend this training to get a tour of the Real Food Database and learn how you can integrate this resource in your campus's food procurement efforts!
